Yes, you are reading this correctly, our SDI CCTV cameras stream video to the DVR in full 1080p and display in HD to an HDMI connected monitor. Don't be fooled with systems that just display in 1080p. Those systems do not stream or record full 1080p video. Those systems stream the typical H.264 video but display on your monitor in 1080p, very similar to upscaling DVD players. Logically speaking, an average quality image will be slightly enhanced on the display but the recorded information is an average quality video.
