Technical FAQs:
I already have a wireless network setup with multiple wireless repeaters. I want to use the Hotspot Kit to replace my primary wireless router so I can generate access codes and charge for internet access. Do I have to reconfigure all my wireless repeaters? No you do not have to reprogram all of your wireless repeaters. You can setup the Hotspot Kit with the same SSID and password to provide permanent access to the repeaters. When the Hotspot detects login attempts by the repeaters it will allow access. The repeaters will then work normally. We highly suggest that you create a new password. You will have to reconfigure your repeaters if the Hotspot has a different password. A new password is highly recommended.
Can I immediately remove internet access from a computer? On the management console you will see a list of all the computers logged into your Hotspot. You can take away access instantly.
Where do I buy ink and paper for the printer? Any office supply store should have it.
I have a hotel but I’m not familiar with networks, how do I set this up? Call us and we’ll set up the system so when it arrives the hotspot kit will be “Plug and Play”. At a minimum you must assure that your cable or DSL modem is active and is successfully supplying a connection to the internet through the WAN port of your modem.
How long does it take to generate a code? The process is very quick. Login, generate a code then print the ticket. The process is very easy to understand even for people who aren’t familiar with using computers.
